How we size your tier

Shared managed architecture — engineered with Teracore

Your site lives on a shared managed environment (2× high-performance servers, Hetzner / GridPane) — engineered and operated by Teracore, the infrastructure pillar of the Stractiv8 technical triad. Tiers are sized by DNS query volume — the actual resource load each site puts on the server — with RAM allocation governing complexity (JetEngine, membership, e-commerce features need more) and storage as descriptive headroom.

Traffic basis

DNS queries

~10–15 queries per visitor session — the honest measure of server load. Bot traffic gets caught in this too, so resource caps protect everyone on the shared environment.

Complexity

RAM allocation

Simple sites run on 512 MB. JetEngine, membership, large WooCommerce sites need 1–2 GB. Higher tiers buy you more "active brainpower" per page load.

Storage

Generous headroom

Most NGO sites use only 2–3 GB. The tier storage caps allow plenty of growth for images, media, and document archives.

Caps exist so one busy site doesn't degrade everyone else on the server. If you outgrow your tier, we move you up — no surprises, no downtime.

How to know which tier you need

If you don't know your DNS query volume, we'll run a free 48-hour health check that pulls your traffic stats from your current host. A small NGO website with a monthly newsletter typically lands on Seed or Root. A high-traffic giving platform like NetballSA or a Knowledge Hub (1M+ queries/mo) lands on Canopy or Baobab. We size you to actual usage — not to a sales target.
